Yoshitaka Amano

Lately I've been looking at many concept artists and seen how everyone is doing everything digitally. While it is still beautiful and a very effective way to portray something, I feel like the purpose of art is getting lost in it. There's a certain feeling you get when you work traditionally, it's an unexplainable sense of tranquility. At least when I look at the work of Amano, it makes me feel such way. It's always good to look back at some of the legendary artists of the past.

Stunning artwork by Veronique Meignaud

It's been a while since I haven't posted. Here I bring you a lovely lady whose illustrations have captured my heart in an instant. She does from beautiful, delicate watercolor paintings to incredible concept art for video games.

This is some sick work that's worth checking in detail, so click on the image for way better resolution!

Recently discovered her through the annual Morning International Comic Competition (M.I.C.C), this girl's way of drawing and coloring has completely captured me. She's done stunning works of illustration and several comics too! I haven't read any but the one she submitted in MICC, which I thought had a quirky but still very interesting theme. Click here if you wish to read it! Also, for more artwork check out her Flickr account.
